Using YOD in your assistant

YOD Connect gives an AI assistant read access to your YOD birth chart: your Big 3 (sun, moon and rising sign), the sign and whole-sign house of every planet, and how a day's sky meets your chart. If you allow it, the assistant can also save text you ask it to keep to your YOD journal.

Before you start

A free YOD account with your birth details. Create one here, or sign in with the account you use in the YOD app.
An assistant that accepts connectors: Claude, Gemini (US), Grok, Le Chat, Perplexity or Claude Code.

Add YOD to Claude

Open YOD in Claude's connector directory and choose Connect.
Sign in with your YOD account and allow the permissions you want.
Ask about your chart. Claude calls YOD when it needs to.

Or add it as a custom connector: Claude opens its add dialog with the address https://connect.yod-app.com/mcp filled in. For other assistants, sign in and open your chart page, which shows the steps for the one you use.

What YOD provides

Get my birth chart

Returns the signed-in YOD user's birth chart: Sun, Moon and rising sign, the sign and whole-sign house of each planet from Mercury to Pluto, the element balance, and sign-to-sign aspects, each with a short plain-language meaning. The result contains no birth date, birth time or birthplace.

Get transits

Returns the sign of each planet on a date (today by default, at 12:00 UTC) and how it relates to the signed-in YOD user's birth chart: the natal house it moves through and any sign-to-sign aspect it makes to a natal placement.

Save to YOD journal

Saves text to the signed-in user's YOD journal exactly as given, with the name of this assistant and the time. It saves only text the user asks to save and reads nothing else from the conversation. Entries can be viewed and deleted by the user. Requires the journal:write permission.

Permissions

Read your chart: required. Signs, houses, meanings and transits. Never your birth date, time or place.
Save to your journal: optional, off unless you tick it. Only text you ask to save, word for word.
Stay connected: so you don't sign in again every hour.
Account ID and email: only when an assistant asks for them, and the sign-in page lists them first.

Disconnect or delete

Your chart pagelists every connected assistant with a Disconnect action, shows your journal entries with Delete, and can remove all of YOD Connect's data at once. Disconnecting ends that assistant's access immediately.
